The Levi’s Korea D2C mall is a Shopify-based commerce project built to connect the brand identity of a global fashion brand to an online purchasing experience.
The screen and operational structure were designed focusing on product discovery, collection organization, promotion display, mobile shopping experience, and purchase conversion flow, which are crucial in fashion commerce.

3. Background of Construction

A fashion brand's D2C mall is not merely a channel for selling products but a touchpoint where brand experience and purchase conversion simultaneously occur. Especially for a global fashion/denim brand like Levi's, product lines, seasonal collections, promotions, and campaign content are constantly changing, making a commerce structure that allows operators to quickly manage content and product configurations essential.

In this project, the core flow of the brand mall was built based on Shopify Commerce.

The main construction directions are as follows:

  1. Building a screen structure that maintains brand sensibility while facilitating product discovery
  2. Designing a natural shopping path through collections, categories, and product lists
  3. Providing necessary information for purchase decisions on product detail pages
  4. Organizing the purchase conversion flow leading to the shopping cart and checkout
  5. Securing the possibility of operating seasonal marketing through event and promotion areas
  6. Reviewing usability for quick browsing and purchasing in a mobile environment

4. Key Screens and Functionality

4-1. Product List / Collection Page

In fashion commerce, users must be able to find desired products quickly. The Levi's Korea D2C mall is structured around product lists and collection screens that allow users to explore various product categories such as denim, apparel, seasonal items, and promotional products.

Key Points of Configuration

  1. Product discovery based on categories and collections
  2. List composition centered on product images
  3. Collection structure connectable to brand campaigns or seasonal themes
  4. UX flow that naturally guides users to product detail pages

4-2. Product Detail Page

The product detail page is the screen that most directly influences purchase conversion in fashion D2C. It's crucial to present product images, options, prices, product descriptions, and purchase buttons clearly, rather than just listing information.

Key Points of Configuration

  1. Information delivery centered on product images
  2. Organizing the size, color, and option selection flow
  3. Configuring purchase button and shopping cart entry path
  4. Maintaining a balance between brand product descriptions and purchase information

4-3. Shopping Cart / Checkout Flow

A major advantage of Shopify Commerce is its ability to stably configure the purchase flow from the shopping cart to checkout. In this project, we also reviewed a purchase-conversion-centric flow to ensure users proceed to the purchase stage without abandoning their carts after selecting products.

Key Points of Configuration

  1. Shopping cart entry and product verification flow
  2. Confirmation of quantity, options, and price information
  3. Checkout transition path
  4. Review of payment conversion usability in a mobile environment

4-4. Event / Promotion Area (Launch Calendar)

Fashion brand malls frequently run marketing operations such as seasonal events, campaigns, collection launches, and discount promotions. Therefore, the event and promotion areas were configured not merely as banners but as important commerce elements that connect product discovery and purchase conversion.

Key Points of Configuration

  1. Display of seasonal promotions
  2. Linking to event pages or collection pages
  3. Interlinking brand campaigns and product lists
  4. Consideration of a content structure that is easy for operators to manage

5. Features from a Fashion Commerce Perspective

A critical aspect of building the Levi's Korea Shopify D2C mall was achieving a balance between brand commerce and product discovery UX. A fashion brand mall must not only showcase the visual sensibility of the brand but also enable users to quickly find and purchase desired products.

Perspective Application Direction
Brand Experience Reflecting the sensibility of a global fashion/denim brand on the online mall screen
Product Discovery UX Configuring the discovery flow around product lists, collections, and product detail pages
Purchase Conversion Reviewing the conversion path from product selection to shopping cart and checkout
Promotion Operation Configuring areas to display seasonal events and promotional products
Mobile Shopping Experience Considering a screen flow that allows mobile users to quickly browse and purchase
Operational Convenience Reviewing products, collections, and event content from an operational perspective for ease of management

This project did not merely utilize Shopify as a shopping mall construction platform, but rather established it as a commerce foundation that allows Fashion D2C brands to flexibly operate products, content, and promotions.

6. PM Performance Points

From a PM perspective, the key was not only creating screens but also organizing brand requirements and commerce operational structures, and stably managing the launch.

Requirement Definition

To build the Levi's Korea D2C mall, requirements were defined based on essential screens for a brand mall, product structure, collection configuration, promotion operation methods, and purchase flow.
Especially given the importance of product information, images, options, and seasonal content in fashion commerce, we also reviewed items that operators actually need to manage.

Screen Configuration Review

For core screens such as product lists, collections, product detail pages, shopping cart, checkout, and event areas, user navigation flow was confirmed.
The UX flow from a brand commerce perspective was checked to ensure it didn't compromise brand sensibility or hinder purchase conversion.

QA and Launch Management

Before completion, QA was conducted focusing on product display, link navigation, option selection, shopping cart functionality, promotion areas, and mobile screens.
Since accuracy of images and product information is crucial for fashion D2C malls, content verification for each screen and review of the purchase flow were also necessary.

Ensuring Operational Convenience

After launch, operational convenience based on Shopify Admin was considered to enable the operations team to manage products, collections, promotions, and event content.
It was important to structure areas that operators repeatedly need to modify to be as manageable as possible.
